MOUSSA CLARKE & JOHN ASHBY – “And The Beat Goes On”
“And The Beat Goes On” is the latest dancefloor scorcher to emerge from the Oven Ready Productions stable. Long-time producer and global DJ stalwart Moussa Clarke (ex-PF Project/Tzant/Musique) teams up with Barcelona’s John Ashby to bring one of their favourite vintage tunes bang up to date, with their take on the Whispers’ 1980 hit “And The Beat Goes On”, a party classic if ever there was one.
Newcomers Funk L’Amour deliver a deliciously funky house mix, inspired by a trip to LA, and with shades of “Stardust” sending it stratospheric. Funk L’Amour may be a new name on the scene, but rumour has it they’re a well-established (and fingerlickin’ good) production outfit.
Finally Russian up and comers Swanky Tunes (now signed to Big Love, and who’ve been remixing the likes of Haji & Emmanuel and Peter Brown) give the likes of Avicii a run for their money, with a twisted big room monster that has them on the ceiling.
Midweek Shopping Club consists of CHEVY ONE, ADAM NYQUIST and GARETH YOUNG. The sound is a colorful infusion consisting of Electronic House, Drum & Bass to name a small few. The mighty D.O.N.S lead the package and bring home a genuine electronic houser fit for mid to peak sets while ‘Breakdown’ take care of all things bleepy.
